Fulham 0 - 3 Manchester United @ Craven Cottage 2nd March 2008

It's a bit nostalgic seeing Fulham play United, brings back memories of my time at Old Trafford!

My first ever visit there and watching the game between this year's title Contenders and Relegation battlers will always have a lasting memory till I go for another match I guess...

Anyways the day's game started off on a low key, as many United stars were rested for the upcoming game against Lyon, familliar faces like Rooney and Ronaldo were left on the bench as starts were given to Park Ji Sung and Saha.

Nani once again looked lively and Scholes looked like he's slowly returning to form! Once or twice, United tested the Fulham net a couple of times with Tevez and Saha both hitting over the net!

Fulham tried the aggresive approach and it was a bad choice as they fouled Tevez just outside the penalty box! With no Ronaldo, United was spoilt with choices for free kick takers. As Tevez, Nani and Hargreaves stepped up. Hargreaves who was searching for his first ever United goal decided to try his luck and he aimed a beautiful free kick that would have given Beckham a run for his money in his United days.

So with 1-0 up, United were pressing on for more goals as Fergie said earlier this week that the goal difference might eventually decide the title in the end, and so after numerous attacks, Park Ji Sung rised the highest and headed home a header into the net!

United were cruising by the time the half-time whistle was blown and reports of Arsenal losing 0-1 at home to Aston Villa made it even sweeter! The second half started with Fulham having a confidence boost, tried their luck at the United goal but their shots were all off-target or were saved by Van Der Sar.

United begin to relax a bit but consistantly tested the Fulham goal a few times, with Ronny and Rooney on in the 70th minute, Fulham's keeper was made to make a couple of more saves fromt he dynamic duo.

A few minutes after their introduction John O'shea made a run into the box and aimed a low pass which was diverted in to West Ham's net by Simon Davis.

3-0 till the end, and with Arsenal managing to grab a point, United looked as favourites once more for the title! It's only a matter of time before Arsenal slips! and lets hope it's in the next match!
